Rosh Haayin and Munich, May 2022. ASOCS Private 5G Software providers and Opticoms System Integrators announce their partnership in order to offer end-to-end solutions for Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing in Germany.
Opticoms is a German-based system integrator with expertise and experience in the communications field offering turnkey solutions including connectivity, device integration, use case integration, and lifecycle management. Opticoms has extended the existing 5G Co-creation Lab with ASOCS’ Private 5G software that will serve joint production development independent software vendors such as AI vendors, devices, and industry use cases.
With Germany leading the way in Industry 4.0, having ASOCS CYRUS® Private 5G software is seen as a natural base to meet the demands of the market. CYRUS® is based on a SaaS business model that is scalable, modular, and flexible that can be run on regular hardware or Edge and managed like any other IT system with no specialized cellular network knowledge needed. CYRUS® utilizes O-RAN, meaning flexibility in connection to any 7.2 Fronthaul compliant Radio Unit, with any NGC.
The combined aims of ASOCS Germany and Opticoms are to provide Industry 4.0 focused solutions such as Connected Mobility, Assisted Reality, and Real-time Data Analysis for manufacturers initially in the DACH (Germany, Austria, and Swiss) region, expanding out into wider Europe.
